The Adura LightPoint System™ (ALPS) is a full featured lighting control system that provides sophisticated control options that can be scaled from the management of a few lights to the control of lighting throughout a campus or a commercial building.
Adura's Gateway links a segment of the wireless ALPS network, a floor or a building wing with the entire ALPS network over the local Ethernet network. The system, with one or many Gateways, is then monitored and managed by the Enterprise Software. The Gateway implements the Linux operating system features for verification, optimization and security to provide enhanced reliability. The Gateway operates a firewall, which limits the type and the destination of all messages for network security. Signals that do not conform to specific protocols are rejected.
The Adura Gateway ensures secure data transmission on both, the wired network side and the wireless network side. When communicating with the Enterprise Database over the wired network, the Gateway exchanges messages using HTTPS, encrypting a message prior to transmission and decrypting it upon arrival. The Gateway implements ZigBee® wireless communication using 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) when communicating on the wireless network.
