At the heart of the Adura® lighting control system is a reliable, no single point of failure wireless mesh networking technology, coupled with intuitive software management tools. Adura’s core wireless technology was developed at the University of California, Berkeley, Center for the Built Environment.
Adura lighting control systems use industry standard IEEE 802.15.4 low-power radios that communicate several hundred feet, using very little power. By forming a self-healing, adaptive mesh network, our wireless controls communicate over much longer distances and maintain reliable connectivity, even in difficult environments.
Adura’s gateway links the lighting network with the local Ethernet network for control and access to data through the use of a secure, intuitive, easy-to-use web interface.
Adura enables you to cut lighting energy costs from 40% to as much as 70% or more. These savings are achieved through integration of multiple lighting control strategies, including scheduling, daylighting, occupancy sensing, and personal control.
Now you can retrofit without the cost and hassle of re-wiring walls and ceilings. Because Adura requires no new communications wiring, they are very easy to install. Fixture and ballast wiring is a snap. And Adura’s innovative implementation of wireless mesh networking technology reduces commissioning time and costs.
The Adura system can be installed in a single office or across an entire enterprise. Once a wireless network is established, additional sensors and controllers can be easily added, with minimal labor. Each lighting fixture can have its own controllable wires relay or groups of fixtures can be controlled depending on the desired level of control granularity.
Building Owners can reconfigure their lighting network as building occupancy and use changes, without the need for costly rewiring. Zones and areas of control can easily be reconfigured with software rather than adding additional wires. There are no costly runs of conduit and wire, essentially reducing the cost of reconfiguration to zero.
Plus, the lighting system can evolve. You can start with small areas with limited control and add additional control devices as your needs change.
The Adura system is compatible with any fluorescent electronic or magnetic ballast load—no ballast retrofit required.
Two-way communication allows you to manage your lighting information. With Adura, you can remotely view maintenance requirements, track energy use, predict lamp or ballast failures, control your system, monitor, and verify DR events, and much more.
